Fixing the Full Screen Issue with VirtualBox on SolusOS

When using VirtualBox on SolusOS, you may encounter an issue where the virtual machine does not go into full screen mode as expected. This problem seems to be caused by the OpenBLAS library (libopenblas_haswellp-r0.3.2.so) in anycodings_r R package.

The issue is not limited to VirtualBox alone, but also affects other applications such as the aov function. It has been reported that this problem may be OS-related, with some users experiencing it on Ubuntu as well.

To troubleshoot the issue, I posted about it on the SolusOS forum and was directed to this thread. To further investigate, I ran the code in R-terminal using Linux version 99.9.9 (which is an odd version number, incidentally) and still encountered the same results. After searching for a solution for over an hour, I couldn't find anything related to this issue.

One difference between my machine running SolusOS and Windows is that $sizeof.long = 8 on Linux versus 4 on Windows. However, I believe that this should not affect the outcome.

I have checked the data and documentation, and there are no changes in the lm() function defaults that could be causing the issue. To summarize, I am using SolusOS (version 4.0) with R version 3.6.1 on a Linux machine and Windows 10 with R version 3.5.2.

If you are experiencing this issue, there is currently no known solution available. However, I will post an update if a solution becomes available in the future.
